But after a mixed start, fans are beginning to ask — has the spending gone far enough?
Among the standout signings, Nathan Broadhead has shown flashes of brilliance since arriving from Ipswich Town in a record deal, while Ben Sheaf from Coventry has brought stability and control to midfield. On the defensive end, Issa Kabore, on loan from Manchester City, has added pace and athleticism at right-back, showing promise in both attacking and defensive duties.
However, the team’s inability to secure consistent wins — especially at home — raises questions about depth and experience. Some summer arrivals are still adapting to Phil Parkinson’s demanding system, and others need to improve their output in key matches.
