He’s Not Done Yet! Ollie Palmer Teases Possible Wrexham Comeback This January

Former Wrexham AFC striker Ollie Palmer is showing flashes of his old form at Swindon Town, reminding fans exactly what he brought to the Racecourse Ground. After leaving Wrexham by mutual consent on 29 August 2025, Palmer joined Swindon in search of regular football—and he’s already making an impact.

In his first start for Swindon, Palmer scored in the EFL Trophy against Reading and impressed with his hold-up play, aerial duels, and sharp link-up work. It was a performance that earned praise from supporters and showed that, at 33, he still has plenty to offer. His leadership and physical presence continue to influence the dressing room, qualities that once made him a fan favourite at Wrexham.

Palmer’s departure came as Wrexham strengthened their forward line with new signings, limiting his minutes. Despite this, he left on good terms, expressing nothing but love for the club that helped reignite his career. In past interviews, Palmer has hinted that returning to Wrexham before retirement remains a dream.

While there are no official talks yet of a January move, sources close to the player suggest he remains open to a reunion if the opportunity arises. For now, Palmer is focused on proving his worth at Swindon, but his heart clearly still beats for Wrexham.

As the January window approaches, one thing is certain: Ollie Palmer’s story with Wrexham may not be over just yet.
